Dear Carrollton Cavalier Families,

Welcome October! September was an exciting time in Cavalier Nation, with so many great things happening in every building!  From the first days of school to Homecoming week, Carrollton Public Schools continues to show itself as the #DestinationDistrict, where every Cavalier matters!

The excitement about the school year continues to be strong all across our school community! Students have settled into their routines and have become comfortable in the school setting. Teachers are focused on providing every student with opportunities for critical thinking. As I visit classrooms and tour buildings, I am impressed by the levels of deep learning and engagement. Also, I continue to be in awe of our amazing community - a host of great people, who are invested in and care about what is best for our kids! Your dedication and support is appreciated and recognized at every level. Thank you for being a part of #theCavalierdifference!

As we strengthen our home-school partnership, there are many ways you can become actively engaged in the school community.  Attending school activities is a great way to build relationships and support your child, and there are many exciting events happening in Carrollton Schools during the month of October.  All events are posted on our district website, in the Carrollton Public Schools app, and in individual building communications to families. Below are a few highlights:

10/1- 10/31  Bullying Prevention Month, College Month, Principals & Assistant Principals Month

10/11           No school

10/17           Community Forum & PLOS Bookmobile

10/18           CHS Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration Assembly
