Dear Cavalier Community,
As we wrap up the third week of school, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible energy and enthusiasm that has filled our buildings. It has been so exciting to see students reconnecting with friends, meeting new classmates, and diving into their studies and extracurricular activities with such passion. We have missed our students and we are excited about the greatness the new school year will bring every Cavalier!
This week, our teachers and support staff have been working diligently to create engaging lessons that not only challenge our students but also inspire a love for learning. We’ve seen wonderful participation in classroom activities, and it’s clear that our students are eager to be back in Carrollton Public Schools, a safe place to learn and grow.
Additionally, I want to remind everyone about some of the upcoming events we have planned:
9/13 Military Appreciation Night & Cavalier Football @ 7:00 pm, Cavalier Stadium
9/15 Hispanic Heritage Month begins
9/23 Board of Education Meeting @ 6:30 pm, CHS Library
9/30 Homecoming Week
10/04 Homecoming Finale events
Parade @ 4:00 pm
Chili Cook-Off @ 5:00 pm, Cavalier Stadium parking lot
Football game @ 7:00 pm
10/10 Parent-teacher Conferences @ 12:15-3:00 pm & 4:00-7:30 pm
These gatherings are great opportunities to strengthen our community bonds and support our students’ journeys. All other events for each specific school can be found on the district app or in parent newsletters that are sent home weekly by each building principal. Thank you for your involvement; it makes a significant difference in your child’s success.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our school community. I remain your proud and committed Superintendent. As always, please feel free to email me at tpeterson@gocavs.net, call me at 989-754-1475, ext 0, or make an appointment with my Executive Assistant, Ericka Lich, for a face-to-face meeting. I would love to connect with you! Have a fantastic school year Cavaliers!
