Please join us in welcoming Kurtis Priemer as the new Assistant Principal of Carrollton Elementary School!

Kurtis brings a wealth of leadership, instructional, and educational experience to Carrollton Public Schools. He is a proud 20-year United States Air Force veteran, where he served as an instructor, Development and Instruction Coordinator, and Superintendent of Training and Instruction. Following his military career, Kurtis continued his passion for education as a fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade teacher before serving as a Curriculum and Assessment Coordinator and Instructional Coach in a K–12 school. In these roles, he supported instructional alignment, analyzed student achievement data, and partnered with teachers to implement high-impact instructional strategies.

Kurtis is passionate about building strong relationships with students, staff, and families. He believes collaboration is the foundation for student success and is committed to supporting every child academically, socially, and emotionally while working alongside our educators to foster excellence in teaching and learning.

Outside of school, Kurtis has been married to his wife, a fellow educator, for 28 years. Together they have three sons—Austin, Carter, and Brady. He enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, exploring the outdoors, and cheering on his boys at their soccer and basketball tournaments.

We are excited to welcome Kurtis to Carrollton Public Schools and know his leadership, dedication to education, and commitment to student success will be a tremendous asset to our district. A portion of Carla Drive between the two LCLC driveways will be closed to vehicle traffic for participant safety, with Carrollton Township police monitoring the closure and event.
